Agasalim Mirjavadov: I was born in Neftchi

After victory in Azerbaijani Championship Khazar-Lenkaran head coach Agasalim Mirjavadov gave an interview to our website.

 “I am very glad that this championship was very heavy thanks to 4-5 team. One year later we told ourselves that we must to be champions. We carry out this mission. I want to thank my team and everybody, who supported us and worried about us all year. Thank to fans who believed in us”.


 You started second round not very good. But after draw with Inter you continued to play better. What has helped you?
I undergone the psychological pressure last two months. I want to thank people, who put pressure on me. I achieved next champion’s title and proved that football in Azerbaijan will be every time thank to them.

After first stage we left opponent behind on 5 points. But in spite of this we lost out position to Neftchi. It was not very easy to get back on top. Butwedidit.


What can you say about game with Gilan?
Match was very difficult. In such kind of field as well. Field was terrible. Crooked lawn with hummock. Footballers couldn’t to play and make a pass.I can’t understand why game started at 17:00? It is very heavy to play in such heat. However, thank God, it turned out that we stronger than opponent.

Khazar-Lenkaran have got right to participate in Champion League. What do you expect?
We don’t think about it now, you know. We became the best Azerbaijani team and at the momemt we are celebrate this event and we are happy. Final match for Azerbaijani Cup expected us on May, 28. We will be ready.


 You got champion’s title in Neftchi as well. Can you compare Khazar-Lenkaran with Neftchi or it is difference only on club’s colours?
Both of them my own clubs. Agasalim Mirjavadov grow up in Neftchi. He was born there and played. But we are professionals and we have to do our job with a conscience. Every team is native for me.
